A static mesh prints at one size and one shape. This rebuilds the Polaroid Land Camera 1000 / OneStep as fully parametric OpenSCAD, so you can resize, customize and print it.

The forging

What it does

  • A decorative Land Camera 1000 / OneStep model you can print. It's not a working camera.
  • Scale the whole model, change body width and rear depth, or switch to a 'squish' desk-ornament variant.
  • Export by color (black, cream, red, white, rainbow) or by piece (face, body), or one rainbow band at a time.
  • Optional decorative card and top display-card slot.

How it's made

  • One self-contained camera.scad with no imported meshes. All geometry is defined in source, in millimetres.
  • Reconstructed in OpenSCAD with Claude, using a purchased hand-modeled Blender model only as a dimensional reference. The reference files aren't included.
  • A small Python script renders a preview and exports STL with OpenSCAD's Manifold backend. The MakerWorld profile carries the painted multicolor print.
